MyCubaHosting was created with a simple mission: to provide quality Minecraft server hosting that is accessible to everyone, regardless of their budget. As the sole operator of this service, I (Miguel) manage everything from server maintenance to customer support. Here's why I do what I do, and how both free and premium servers work.

The Problem with Traditional Hosting

Hosting a Minecraft server can be challenging and often costly. Many hosting companies maximize their profits by:

Overselling resources
Cramming multiple servers onto shared hardware
Creating resource competition that causes lag
Charging premium prices for basic services

This is understandable from a business perspective - companies need to make money. However, it often results in poor performance and frustrated server owners.

Free Servers

For free servers, I do use shared resources (CPU, RAM, and storage) to make free hosting sustainable. Multiple servers run on the same infrastructure, which means:

Resources are shared among free server users
Performance may vary during peak usage
Some limitations apply to keep the service available for everyone

However, I strive to provide the best possible experience within these constraints. My goal is to offer what would typically be premium-level service elsewhere, completely free.

Premium Servers

Premium servers are completely different:

Dedicated resources - Your CPU, RAM, and storage belong only to you
Separate infrastructure - Premium servers run on isolated VPS instances
Independent uptime - If free servers experience issues, premium servers remain unaffected
No resource sharing - You get exactly what you pay for, with no competition

Why Is It So Cheap?

The answer is simple: I don't do this for profit.

MyCubaHosting runs on a non-profit basis. I charge just enough to cover server costs and infrastructure maintenance. Unlike commercial hosting companies that need to generate revenue for investors and shareholders, I keep prices at cost to make quality hosting accessible to everyone.

A Note on Free Service

I work hard to maintain and support free servers, but it's important to remember:

I'm a student - I manage this in my free time alongside my studies
It's a free service - I'm essentially providing premium-level support for free
Maintenance takes time - Sometimes responses may be delayed
Patience is appreciated - While I aim to respond quickly, understanding is valued

Some users forget that free hosting is a privilege, not a right. I do my best to provide excellent service, but please be patient and respectful when seeking support.
